Days, evenings and weekends Starting in April and continuing through October, all Staff working any weekend shift (Saturdays & Sundays) will receive $2 per hour extra pay called Weekend Gratitude.
This will be paid the following month on a separate check.
You will be notified of the amount you can expect for your Weekend Gratitude - and it will show up in your bank as an additional paycheck deposit.
Half our business occurs on the weekend - that's when you are most needed and most valuable to Young's.
Weekend Gratitude is a thank you for being here on the weekends and helping our Guests have a great visit.
Requirements:
Experience:
Basic math skills required.
Physical:
Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to five hours in length.
Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend and kneel and have the ability to lift crates of balls and trays frequently weighing up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
Determing assigned service are from station list at start of work shift Prepares the ice cream or food for the guest Greets guests and suggests appropriate menu items Informs guests of specials and menu changes, make suggestions and answers questions regarding food, beverages and service Must be able to describe menu items in a manner that would entice the customer Must possess detailed knowledge of the menu items, their ingredients and cooking methods Takes food and beverage orders from guests and relays order to kitchen staff, via the POS May serve food from kitchen if stationed Takes ice crem orders from guest and prepares the order Keeps servvice stations clean and sanitary Completes other related tasks as assigned Young's is a working dairy farm with a restaurant, homemade ice cream, farmstead cheese, miniature golf, driving range, batting cages, an animal petting area, watch us milk the cows daily and plenty of fun events throughout the year! We are open year-round.
Our busy season starts in April and ends in late October.
It takes about 320 employees to keep Young's going during this busy time of year.
Most of our workforce is in high school or college and tend to stay with us for 4-5 years as they complete school.
We have a core group of about 80 full time Staff; many have worked with us for 20 plus years.
We are blessed with a great Staff who work hard to create great Guest experiences.
A dozen of our workforce, by the way, are Young family members.
